Community support and compassion are at the heart of Mom’s Meals employees. Nowhere is this more evident than when Mom's Meals employees recently came together to support relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Helene. Employees donated a total of $2,900 to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Helene relief efforts, which was then matched by the company, resulting in a combined donation of nearly $6,000.
"I believe our employees have a deep-rooted desire to help people and genuinely care. It’s why they work at Mom's Meals," said Emily Kamish, Mom’s Meals team member. "They are pleased to know that their contributions go further with the company’s matching support."
Mom’s Meals has long supported disaster relief efforts, recognizing the critical overlap between its mission—to improve life through nutrition at home—and the Red Cross’ mission to step in when "home" is disrupted by disaster. The shared focus on helping people in need has made supporting the Red Cross a natural fit.
The company also donated and delivered 5,415 shelf-stable meals to Georgia residents who were hit by the storm. This, combined with the monetary donation, were ways for the company to provide resources where they were needed most.
“Our employees are aware that many of those impacted by disasters are clients or members of our broader community. They appreciate being able to help and are proud to work for a company that aligns with their values through charitable giving,” Kamish added.
Mom’s Meals’ commitment to its clients goes beyond financial support. Employees frequently work to ensure meal delivery continuity, demonstrating their dedication to ensuring those affected by crises receive the nutrition they need, regardless of circumstances.
This effort underscores Mom’s Meals’ ongoing commitment to giving back, reinforcing the company’s role as a trusted and caring partner in times of need.
