Carrie Kuennen, Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management, joined Mom’s Meals in 2016 and served as Director of Revenue Cycle Management before being promoted to vice president in 2024. In her current role, Carrie is responsible for leading the revenue cycle management teams that include billing, posting, financial clearance, system administration, and internal audit teams; building and maintaining relationships with health plan partners; and partnering with other operational teams to improve revenue cycle performance.
Prior to Mom’s Meals, Carrie was the Business Office Director for Boone County Hospital where she led billing and patient registration teams. She also served as a Provider Relations Specialist for Health Alliance Medical Plans where she was a key provider contact for provider education, claims escalations, and provider network enrollment. Carrie served as Financial Coordinator for the Iowa Chiropractic Society and as Practice Manager for Bridges Chiropractic Clinic.
Carrie earned the Certified Revenue Cycle Professional and Certified Revenue Cycle Executive (designations from the American Association of Healthcare Administration Management (AAHAM). She also received her diploma at Hawkeye Community College in the Medical Administrative Assistant program. Carrie currently serves as the AAHAM National Practices and Standards Committee Chair and is the Hawkeye AAHAM Chapter Board Chair and former chapter president. She also serves as the practice management consultant for the Iowa Chiropractic Society.
